Find practical answers about the DuraLedge® HD Sink Bracket Kit, sink and cabinet fit, cabinet preparation, and installation planning.

Questions and answers

How far is the adjustable leveler’s centerline from the cabinet wall?

The centerline of the adjustable leveler is 4.10 inches from the cabinet wall. This measurement is to the center of the leveler, not the outer edge of its pad. When planning around plumbing, a disposal, drawers, or other obstructions, allow clearance around the leveler itself.

What is the DuraLedge® HD Sink Bracket Kit?

The DuraLedge® HD Sink Bracket Kit uses four adjustable brackets to support and position farmhouse and apron-front sinks inside the cabinet.

How much weight is the DuraLedge HD Sink Bracket Kit engineered to support?

Engineered to support up to 400 lb when properly installed.

What types of sinks can DuraLedge HD be used with?

DuraLedge HD is designed primarily for farmhouse and apron-front sink installations. It can be used with fireclay or clay-fired, cast-iron, solid-surface, and stainless-steel sinks.

What comes in the HD kit?

The HD kit includes four DuraLedge HD sink-support brackets, adjustable levelers with locking nuts, and installation hardware.

How is the sink adjusted during installation?

The four brackets provide independent adjustment points for positioning the sink and making the final height adjustment during installation.

How tight should the sink be against the countertop?

The sink should be raised only until it is snugly and evenly seated against the underside of the countertop. The brackets are not intended to force the sink into the countertop. Avoid excessive upward force, particularly with thinner stainless-steel sinks.

Do cabinet conditions matter?

Yes. Check the cabinet walls and make sure you can reach the mounting locations before installation. Some face-frame cabinets have a hollow space or thinner area near the front of the cabinet side. If a bracket fastener passes through that area, add solid material behind the wall before tightening so the walls are not pulled together. This is a cabinet-preparation step, not a problem unique to DuraLedge.

Does DuraLedge replace sealant at the countertop?

Before the sink is raised, apply a small bead of appropriate silicone or sealant to the sink rim. Raise the sink only until it is snugly and evenly seated against the underside of the countertop.
